Come here a minuet lad and led me your ear that I might spin you a tale you might like to hear. I once walked through a land rather like this one, made all of steel and iron and bone. But the most beautiful of things there were the things that were made of stone. Towers topped ever mountain peak and cities stretched to the roots of the world, in this land a wondered through alone. I found mighty castles nestled in the hills and across the plain great cities of metal and wheels. Works of wonder wrought long ago. Statues and theaters and fountains there were and courtyards paved in white marble. Of granite and jade and crystal were their art great statues and monuments. Mosaics painted pictures in a hundred colors of glass. But never a maker did I meet not one craftsmen or labors. No admires of their work stood by to gasp in awe. Not a living thing did I find when I walked through this world of metal and stone. For every statue and fountain, every tower and home were set upon a field of bone.

This is my first try at poetry.

Its something I cobbled together when I realized I have had an account for almost a year and have done nothing here. It is supposed to be part of a conversation between a drunkard and a young bartender.

Any feed back would be greatly appreciated.
